In Topic: BFBC2 is fun and all so what happened?!

BF3 multiplayer was like a candy. It was awesome for some moments, and then you came off the high after it started getting repetitive (again, just how the engine is designed, the gun mechanics, and the overall feel of the multiplayer). Also, there are arguably more ragequit-inducing moments in BF3 than other Battlefields, unless you are absolutely steamrolling the other team.

I think it was just the effort to appeal to a wider audience. The new game engine brought about some good stuff: graphics, jets, etc., but deproved in terms of other factors, such as gun functionality. The guns and surrounding environment were arguably more realistic, yes. However, in Bad Company 2, if you shot someone with a gun, you could feel some pride in it - like you could feel the gun as part of you - it was just the gun physics in that particular version of Frostbite. In BF3, it's more of spray in the general direction and the bullets go in - not much "gun character."
Also, the BC2 environment was MUCH more destructible.

So you guys finally came to terms that BC2 is one of those games that you can play and have fun almost always...
I think what makes it fun is the combination between realism and that humor/cartoon that's put in in several ways. The multiplayer map designs are for the most part, better too.

I would play it, it looks pretty damn awesome, but I don't have a gaming console (except for a Wii... lol).

Why are you guys focusing on the naval warfare (I mean yes, that's a part of the game, but there's plenty of other stuff too...)? I'm excited about the ability to explore those small islands by jumping off the ship and swimming, and exploring the ruins. If the jungle environment is sort of like Far Cry 3, I'll be pleased.
